Description
Translated from the organiser's original listing
This screening presents Josefina Molina's 'Función de noche' (1981, 90 min), a landmark film that blurs the line between documentary and fiction. Shot without a script, the film captures an unguarded conversation between actress Lola Herrera and her ex-husband Daniel Dicenta in the dressing room of the theatre where Herrera was performing 'Cinco horas con Mario'. Widely regarded as a revolutionary feminist work in Spanish cinema, the film offers a raw and powerful portrait of a generation shaped by the Franco dictatorship. Part of the 'Pioneras y maestras (IV): Josefina Molina' cycle. Free entry, subject to capacity.
