Description
Translated from the organiser's original listing
Presentation of 'Un Muro es Solo un Muro y no es Mas que Eso. Se Puede Derribar' (A Wall is Just a Wall and Nothing More. It Can Be Torn Down), a collective poetry anthology in support of Palestine published by Proyecto KAFFIK. This anthology blends poetry and graphic arts as a collective cry against oppression. Through poems, illustrations, collages, and photographs by various authors and artists, it captures the emotional anguish of inhabiting spaces between colonised and colonising legacies. The book serves as a space for reflection and denunciation of the consequences of colonialism, armed conflict, and human and territorial devastation. With a strong multilingual character and careful editing, this work is not only read but seen and felt, inviting readers to tear down - through art and words - the physical and mental walls that divide people and nations. The event will feature the editors, some of the contributing poets, and Nae, a member of the Freedom Flotilla. Free entry until capacity is reached.
