Description
The Romería de San Cecilio is Granada's annual pilgrimage to the Sacromonte Abbey, honouring the city's patron saint. Thousands walk up to the Sacromonte for a day of celebration. The 12:00 mass features the Mozarabic Choir. The city council distributes free habas (broad beans) and salaíllas (traditional bread). Traditional dances including 'la Reja' are performed. The catacombs with the saint's relics are open free of charge from 16:00-17:30.
