The Home Studio: Technologies for Democratising Creation in an Electronic Future Location: Temporary Exhibition Hall, Centro Cultural CajaGranada, Avda. de la Ciencia 2, Granada Dates: 13 June 2025 to 15 May 2026 Hours: Tuesday to Friday, 11am to 2pm | Closed in August Free entry The new Espacio Caja Sonora exhibition now has a title and purpose: "The Home Studio: technologies for democratising creation in an electronic future". Curated by musicologist Marta Espana, this exhibition offers a journey through the transformations that have enabled thousands of people to create music from their homes, thanks to accessible digital tools that are constantly evolving. The opening took place on 13 June at 12pm at Centro Cultural CajaGranada, as part of the "Buen Tiempo" festival dedicated to music technology and DJ culture. Through analogue and digital objects, interactive installations, audiovisual material and interviews with DJs and producers, the exhibition invites reflection on access to knowledge and sound creation as a cultural right. The exhibition is part of the annual theme of the 2nd edition of Espacio Caja Sonora, which under the title "Sounds Online: new technologies in music" has been reflecting on the unprecedented transformation in the music industry driven by the rapid advance of new technologies. This exhibition is an open invitation to discover how music is produced today and how we might make it tomorrow.
