La edad de la ilusion (The Age of Wonder) is a bibliographic exhibition charting the rise of children's and young adult publishing in Spain from the late 19th century to the Civil War. It traces the evolution of a new commercial industry aimed at young readers, encompassing theatre, illustration, crafts, collectibles and adventure stories that gave birth to iconic titles such as Pinocho, TBO, Pulgarcito, Gente Menuda and the famous Cuentos de Calleja. The exhibition is spread across the three first-floor galleries of the Huerta de San Vicente, organised into thematic zones featuring original copies of illustrated editions by leading artists of the period. Organised by the Ayuntamiento de Granada's Department of Culture, Huerta de San Vicente, GEGSA, and Granada's European Capital of Culture 2031 candidacy. Opening hours: Tuesday to Saturday 10am-5pm. Closed on public holidays. Free entry.
