Rubén Guerrero (born 1976, Utrera, Seville) is a Spanish contemporary painter whose work investigates the foundations of painting, often shifting between abstraction and figuration to test the limits of the canvas and two-dimensional space. Rubén Guerrero’s exhibition at Centro José Guerrero presents a selection of recent work that explores the ongoing tension between image and painting, and how an image is constructed through the act of painting. Venue: Centro José Guerrero (Calle Oficios, 8). Visiting hours: Tuesday to Saturday and public holidays, 10:30 to 14:00 and 16:30 to 21:00. Sundays, 10:30 to 14:00.
